Shine Bright

Shining bright doesn’t mean to grab a flash light and point it at yourself but rather allowing the light of God to shine within you; be a light that burns for Him and inspires others.

As a child of God, we were not meant to hide in fear or have a one way relationship with God, but we’re called for a purpose to let world know us by our love that they may have a desire to want the same relationship with God that we possess. Having God in your life is and should be the most important aspect of your life; something we should never fear and have a desire to share whole heartedly with the world!

Matthew 5:14-16 says this “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

God has given you life and purpose. He has given you freedom from a life of pain and sin. Through this relationship with God, we have hope and a new life. How would you not want to glorify God for all the great things He has done in your life? Let your excitement for God be evident in your life. Don’t be afraid to talk to your family, friends or coworkers about the great things God has done in your life!

Every aspect of our life should emit God’s love. Are your thoughts, actions and habits glorifying to God? If a non believer was around would they see God in your actions? If your thoughts and habits were observed would they reflect God? Our lives should be a constant example of Christ living within us. We should be ambitious to live Christ-like not because we were commanded to do so but because we have a desire to do so! Our expression of love for God should not be forced but be natural, pure and wholehearted. Stop hiding your love for God but let that light burn so brightly within your heart that He is only thing that defines you!
