My name is Valeriy (Pronounced “Vuh-Larry”) Poltorak and this is just small part of who I am. First and foremost, I am a sinner saved by the grace of God. I am not defined by my qualities but rather my relationship with God. I was born in the Ukraine but raised in the heart of the Pacific Northwest. My passion for photography began at an early age as I always had a tendency of observing life through the eye of a viewfinder; anywhere I looked there was beauty to discover and I had a desire to capture every moment of it. Over the years my creative platform has expanded in more ways than I could ever dream of and I am beyond excited for the opportunity to share my journey with you.

This creative journey first started years ago upon discovering Stock Photography which was my first introduction to photography and the countless possibilities. After many years of trials and self-teaching I expanded my horizons onto social media and on August 15th, 2013 Mrvalography made his first appearance on Instagram. With a follower base of around 75k Instagram has become my primary source of exposure, it is the platform that I currently use not only to showcase my work but also to share my testimony of faith through the #FaithFilledCaptions hashtag, which I started late 2014.

From that point on I have been focused on developing and creating new content on a daily basis; engaging with other creatives and using my platform as a source of inspiration. God gave me a unique gift, one that I am committed to sharing with the world through faith and photography.

1 Corinthians 15:58 says this “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

As my love for God grows so does my passion and success in this creative field. Faith continues to be the primary focus and core of my creativity. By staying active in pursuit of Christ and learning all aspects of photography I am constantly challenging myself creatively and dedicated to delivering quality content in every opportunity that comes my way! I cannot learn if I won't try; I will either learn from my failures or delight in my success. On my own I am nothing, but through Christ we can accomplish anything!
