God Deserves Everything

You were created to love God and to bring Him glory; fulfilling our purpose by honoring Him with our life.

As Christians, Jesus paid a debt that we could not and for that reason we owe Him EVERYTHING and should have a desire to love our God by devoting our lives to serving Him!

1 Corinthians 10:31 says this “Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

No matter what we are doing or where you are in your life. Your thoughts, actions, hopes and even your dreams should be guided by the Lord. He should be directing your every move and as Christians, we should be joyfully serving the Lord with every aspect of our life.

I recently came across a song Here I Am by Lincoln Brewster that says this:

“You're not asking for perfection
You're not after flawless prayers
All You've wanted from the start
The surrender of my heart

Every breath inside my lungs
All I hold within these hands
You can have it all, Here I am
And no matter what the cost
I'll give everything I have
You are worth it all, Here I am
You can have it all, Here I am”

God doesn’t ask for perfection or flawless worship, all He desires is that we love Him with all that we are and surrender our life and our hearts to serving Him. No matter the cost we should have a joyful desire to give Him everything, because isn’t He worth it after all?

Don’t get caught up in your own agenda that you forget to consult with God first, be steadfast in prayer and daily in the Word, your relationship with God will determine your purpose in life! As you learn to love God more than yourself your desire to give Him everything strengthens. Examine your life, are you devoted to the Lord or are your holding back? Don’t let your selfishness be what separates you fully experience the love of God in your life!
