All in for Jesus

When we attempt to accomplish everything on our own we are setting ourselves up for failure but if we keep God at the core and go all in for Jesus all things become possible!

A wise friend recently shared with me that I have a tendency of going 150% towards a project or goal, while this may appear as a good thing at first glance, showing dedication, it also means that other projects and prior responsibilities are pushed aside and become neglected.

If you’re someone like me who is goal oriented and dedicated to a project, I highly recommend seeking balance in your work. I learned from this observation that giving 150% of my efforts towards accomplishing a task will burden my involvement in other aspects of my life and ultimately interfering with God’s plan for my life. When we put 150% of our efforts towards a personal goal we aren’t allowing any of time to spent on the work God has designed for us.

There is nothing in your life that should become more important or more time consuming than the work of the Lord. As children of God, we ought to be consumed with the Word, in love with our God and have a burning desire to live for Him! If there’s anything you should be giving 150% of your efforts to it is doing the will of God. He is the ultimate creator of your life and the universe and has called each and everyone of us for a unique purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:58 says this “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

Your goals and commitments may seem important and have true value but God’s calling for your life is far more important. Ask God to give you balance; keeping you on a path that is focused on magnifying Him but allowing you to accomplish goals without taking time away from serving Him. When we give God our time, our focus and commitment He will in return give us the time we need to achieve the impossible. Stop neglecting God for your own personal agenda but start living for Him and allow Him to be the core of your agenda!

When we attempt to accomplish everything on our own we are setting ourselves up for failure but if we keep God at the core and go all in for Jesus all things become possible!
