(Not) the End

What may look like an ending to you can often times be a beginning to God.

His plans are greater than ours, His purpose is purer and knowledge is boundless, God is omniscient and therefor knows what we need and what we can accomplish even if we don’t see the full picture.

In the Bible, Joseph approached multiple instances where it seemed as though this was the end: being thrown into a pit and sold from slavery or thrown in prison for committing a crime he never committed but God was there with Him every step of the way. Joseph used every dead-end opportunity to trust God; he didn’t worry or complain but had faith. He knew that God had a plan.

Don’t look at an ending as the end but rather God’s way of telling you that this is just the beginning. If we trust Him and seek Him through this process, He will show you the way by giving you purpose and direction and just like Joseph He will rescue you.

God’s timing and process is perfect, although sometimes that may seem confusing to us, His ways are pure and we should trust Him. This means that we shouldn’t be taking matters into our own hands, when we do so we complicate God’s plan and make matters worse for ourselves; don’t do to your life what only God can accomplish. Be patient and have faith that God will make all things work in HIS time.

Genesis 39:2-4 says this “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand. And Joseph found grace in his sight, and he served him: and he made him overseer over his house, and all that he had he put into his hand.”

God can do great things with your life, give you hope and a beginning to your ends when we have faith and trust in Him. Don’t let failures, dead ends and defeat bring you doubt but let those moments give you a desire to trust in the Lord and have faith that He will show you the way! This is not the end, but only just the beginning.
