Created With Purpose

Have you ever created something? Upon doing so, who decided the definition or purpose of that creation? Naturally, it’s you. As the the creator it is your responsibility to determine its purpose.

The same rules apply to God. If we truly believe that He is the creator of this universe then it is His responsibility to define the purpose of His creation. God created the universe, He gave every living thing from the birds in the air to the dirt on the ground a purpose. And just as God has given every creature purpose He has given you purpose.

Our goals in life and desires are truly not our own, yes we may have dreams or plans for our future but in a blink of an eye God can change those plans. As our creator He has given us life and it is our responsibility to live in a manner that coincides with the purpose and plan God has uniquely placed before us; not choosing to live our own way or for our own gain but CHOOSING to live for Him.

Although God created us and has given each of us a unique purpose He has also created us with free will so the choice is ultimately yours. You have the right to choose this day whom you will serve. (Joshua 24:15) As followers of God we cannot live for ourselves and for Him. We cannot live in the world and in Christ. We must choose.

So what is that purpose? What is your purpose?

Ephesians 2:10 says this “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Now, while I do not know what your specific purpose is I can tell you this, God didn’t place you on this earth to merely exist. We weren’t designed to simply eat, sleep, repeat. No. You were hand chosen by God to exist, now, at this exact time not by random chance but with purpose. Just think about that for a second, you with all your faults and imperfections were thought of by God, specifically, and with intent. God knew you & had a plan for you before you were even born.

Jeremiah 1:5 says this “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

No matter what your past or present may look like God knows you and has a unique purpose in life for you and he only way you’ll discover that purpose is by growing in a deeper and closer relationship with Him.
