August 15th

August 15th, a day that will go down in history.

Why you might ask? This date marks a truly memorable and important time in my life. 6 years ago today, I posted this picture on Instagram and at exactly 2:35pm, Mrvalography was born.

Little did I know that this single post would be the start of an amazing journey that would completely change my life.

Since my very first post on Instagram God has worked in extraordinary ways, I can’t even begin to explain the amount of opportunities that have stemmed from this moment. Like getting my first DSLR, the many destinations I visited, being on air with King 5’s New Day Northwest , joining the @Igers_Seattle team or the unforgettable relationships but none of them amount to one specific aspect of my Instagram journey, the most life altering; it brought me closer in my relationship with God.

I went back and calculated and out of 950 posts on Instagram 500 of those were tagged with #FaithFilledCaptions, FIVE HUNDRED. I originally started #FaithFilledCaptions as a way to share my faith but many of you have used it to share your own faith filled stories. I’m grateful for the way God has been able to use this ministry, not just transforming my own life but the lives of others whilst providing me with the right words for every caption. Because of Instagram I was able to share my heart & testimony with the world.

God’s Word is FULL of truth. 500 captions in and I have yet to run out of words, the more I look back the more I realize how precious my relationship with God is and how vital it is to be submerged in the Word of God. When was the last time you opened your Bible? There is ALWAYS something new to learn!

Although these last 6 years have been a roller coaster I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m thankful for every moment that brought me here and excited for what God has planned. Whatever it is you’re searching for you’ll find it in Christ. Whatever it is you’re hoping to achieve, YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST (Phil 4:13) Don’t give up on your passion and especially not God’s calling. He created you for a purpose, with unique gifts and talents use them to do great things for HIM!
