Guess what, you’re not the first person to make a mistake or the first person to do a bad deed. Truth is, we are all born sinners with a sin nature.

Sin isn’t something that’s taught but something we are born with and it’s only by the grace and love of God that we will ever be able to find hope in being cleansed of this sin that so easily corrupts our life

We all have a past. One that you may not be proud of. You might have hurt, you might have stole, you may have bullied or contemplated vengeance. I’m here to tell you it doesn’t have to stay that way. We serve a God who loves, forgives and saves; even those with a past that may seem unforgivable. There is hope and restoration in the name of Jesus. I know it may not feel like it but your life doesn’t have to be spent in worry, fear, and sorrow. Hope does exist.

No matter how dirty your past is or the mistakes you’ve made, God can use you and make a difference in your life. Time and time again He uses the broken. God isn’t looking for perfect but He is looking for those who are faithful.

Acts 9:13-16 says this “Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem: And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that call on thy name. But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.”

Paul hurt so many people before his walk with God but God was able to use that past to strengthen his future. God forgave and showed grace even when Paul did not deserve it. But because of that past Paul was able to be a powerful witness and testimony of Christ in his journey.

God can use you, He wants to use you. Just like God was able to use Paul He has the same desire to save you from a past full of pain and transform you. Have faith, turn away from your past and give it all to God. Allow God to work in your life and make a difference in heart, let His light burn in you so that the world can see that there is Hope in the name of Jesus!
