Your Gift

God has given each and everyone of us an individual gift that we ought to use to glorify Him.

I think it’s fair to say that most of us at this age know ourselves pretty well. Therefor, you probably have a general idea of what you are good at and what you are not. Whether it be teaching, preaching, singing, writing, sharing, loving, etc God has given each and everyone of us an individual gift that we ought to use to glorify Him.

1 Peter 4:10-11 says this “As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”

We were not given these unique and undeserving gifts to simply let them go to waste or using them for our personal gain or glory. God wants us to take advantage of the many blessings and opportunities that come with these gifts but only if we use them to express our love for Him.

You were not created to simply sit still, be lazy or lounge around completely ignoring God and His purpose for your life. No, you were created with a purpose, with unique gifts, a unique background, strengths and talents that are not like anyone else. Don’t let those gifts go to waste by neglecting the beauty that God has given and created specifically for you.

If you truly love the Lord and are thankful for all that He has done in your life, express that gratitude by using your life to bring Him glory. Share the love that you have for Him by allowing the world to see the Love of God radiating through your life and your actions. Your talents are gift given to you by God, what better way to thank God then by using those gifts to glorify Him!
