New Life

The moment we accept Jesus into our life is the same moment we lay down our old life and begin a new life, one that is and should be entirely devoted to Christ.

If we want our life to exalt Christ we are to fully surrender ourselves to God, this means we need to put God first, before everything else!

Matthew 10:37-39 says this "He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. "He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it."

He must always be the priority in your life, before family, friends, sports, work, etc. Once we start prioritizing and putting things before God, that we feel are more important, those things then become an idol and we slowly lose our focus. As a child of God who desires a strong and healthy relationship with God, start by giving up your old life and old ways and move forward by making God the number one priority in your life!
