Fear Not

Remember when you were a child and your mother told you something over and over again to get an important lesson across so you wouldn’t forget?

Well the Bible does the same. There are so many great lessons to be learned but there is one valuable lesson that is mentioned 365 times, one for each day of the year, and that is to FEAR NOT!

Isaiah 41:10 says this: “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Clearly, God does not want you to be afraid or worry about problems in your life but rather to trust and have faith in Him and He will strengthen you. As Christians we serve an every present God, who is with us always, through the good and the bad. Through trials and temptation. No matter the situation, God promises to take care of you and get you through the storm.

Don’t let the devil win by making you doubt God’s love and power. Don’t let the devil win by making you think you can do anything without God. The world will try and feed you lies and offer remedies and solutions to your problems but nothing compares to work of our God and when we allow Him to work in our lives. Trusting God means giving ALL our worries and problems to Him, when we humbly come before God and lay these issues in His hands we should trust that He will help you overcome. We serve a great God who created this world, your small problem is nothing in comparison to what our God is capable of!

Proverbs 3:5-6 says this “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Stop letting fear negatively impact your life and weaken your relationship with God. Learn from the challenges you face; trust that God will work within you and help you overcome. Seek the Gospel and let prayer be your first response. The more we pray and seek the Lord the less we worry and the less we react with emotion and fear!
