God's Temple
Today at church our Pastor preached on a message that spoke to my heart. Surprisingly, my favorite lyrics to a song and messages are ones that convict the soul because it is during those moments that I feel God speaking directly into the soul.
Pastor read a passage from 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 regarding how we as believers need to remember that our life is a temple of God and we must keep that temple clean, holy, pure and a testimony of God in our life; not for our own personal gain but to glorify and honor God!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 says this "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's."
Stop allowing filth into your life that will ultimate corrupt the temple of Christ. You do have the ability to monitor what goes into your life and what comes out. Rather than allowing the world to influence you poorly, examine your heart and focus on Christ, allow Him to be the judge of how you chose to live your life. Get rid of anything that corrupts His temple and keeps you from developing in your relationship with Christ! When your heart is pure, your faith is strong and your eyes are fixed on Him that is when we are truly glorifying God with our life!
